Although now dormant, the spectacular Arenal Volcano, the town of Nuevo Arenal and the village of La Fortuna are all approximately within a 2-hour (4×4) drive away. In addition to the views, you can also experience canopy tours, hot springs, hikes to a waterfall, souvenirs shops and many small restaurants.
