Palo Verde National Park – Day Trips –

The main attraction to Palo Verde National Park is the abundance of birds, many of which migrate from the Americas to the marshes created by the Tempisque river flooding. Visitors can also see their fair share of animals, including howler and white-faced monkeys, and perhaps even white-nosed coatis and white-tailed deer. There is also a 2-hour boat trip on the river, boasting crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and other fascinating wildlife.
