A highlight of our trip was 2 magical days at La Carolina Lodge. The place has a rustic feel, food prepared on a wood fired stove and candles light up the darkness… we used no electricity except to recharge our camera batteries, simple furniture made from local trees, much of the food grown or raised on the farm.
