The grounds are beautifully landscaped and we saw many varieties of birds, including toucans and woodpeckers at the bird feeders during breakfast. We really enjoyed the horseback ride through the property and the hike at Tenorio National Park.
Our trip to La Carolina Lodge was a highlight of our time in Costa Rica. If you enjoy exploring new places in their ‘natural’ state then this may be the place for you. There are no tourist traps here…just you, nature, and tranquility.
