We loved everything at La Carolina Lodge. We believe that this is Costa Rica as it used to be all over the country. There are lots and lots of birds around. We probably saw more birds here than anywhere else in Costa Rica (and we were in Corcovado NP)… should not put you off from going there. If you are looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience – which is hard to find in some places – this lodge is highly recommended!
